About Me

-About Stoy Inspiration-

Stoy Inspiration is a blog site that I (Stoy) created with the intent of uplifting people from all generations, by enhancing the way they introspectively view themselves. I hope that our collective effort as people (including myself), will develop a desire to grow and personally do better.  As a result, we will promote a positive change that hopefully causes a ripple affect to occur throughout the world.

Who is Stoy?
→ I am a young man who is obsessed with writing, dedicated to working out, is an English major, loves God, is an avid movie/show junkie, and enjoys competitive sports along with healthy competition in general. More info about me can be found in My Profile.

Why the name?
→ Well, the name kind of just came to me honestly. I was thinking of a good name for my blog, and the name "Stoy" was the first one that popped into my head.  Ironically, I had no idea my chosen blog name was correlated to the legendary Russian writer, Leo Tolstoy.  I feel bad in saying this, but I have not read any of his works. Please do not cast the first stones all at once! I'm working on becoming more educated on this renowned creative author.

"A man is like a fraction whose numerator is what he is and whose denominator is what he thinks of himself.  The larger the denominator, the smaller the fraction."

What made me want to start writing a blog?
→ After learning that playing basketball in college might not be an option for me unfortunately, I really started focusing on my other passion: writing. As an English major, my love for writing, reading, and the creative arts has always been there from a young age.  The intense passion and energy that I "accumulated" over the years from playing competitive basketball since the age of seven, I decided to transfer directly into my writing.  All throughout high school I was a student athlete, who did not have much time to devote to my writing.  As I made the transition into being a college student with a full time focus on academia, I have been able to begin sharing my passion for writing with others.  Subsequently, the construction of my blog site began.

Initially, I did not have a resolute direction on the topic I wanted to write about, but I knew I wanted to help people through this platform.  After much contemplation, I came to the conclusion that I should write about personal growth, with an emphasis on moral attributes and inspirationI determined that I would not give in to that inhibiting feeling of self-disappointment, due to the fact that I was not currently playing the sport I had dedicated three-fourths of my life to. It was a tough pill to swallow, but out of that emotional turmoil blossomed a vineyard of resilience and other positive attributes.  I became even more confident in my abilities as a person, as well as grew in the area of self-awareness.  Thus, from those humbling beginnings emerged "project" Stoy Inspiration.

I hope this page gives you a clearer insight into who I (Stoy) am, that way you have a better feel for the type of person who is producing this blog site.

  1. Hey Stoy, thanks for creating this space because there’s enough negative in the world. I enjoyed the video with Matthew McConaughey. If we focus our energy on where we want to be, we don’t have time to think about the what if? I hope your blog becomes a household name. I’m going to pass it on because positivity is infectious! Q2U

    1. Thank you so much for reading the page Q2U! I'm glad you enjoyed the video! And thank you so much for spreading the news and your support! I greatly appreciate your comment!

  2. Hello,

My name is Mahdi Gilbert and I am the only magician in the world born without hands and feet. I fooled Penn & Teller on TV with sleight of hand without hands. My calling in life is to inspire others and I do that through the magic that I do. I am reaching out to you because I believe your following would be inspired by my magic and my story and I am hoping you will share it with them because everyone needs hope during this long and dark winter. Here is a link to my video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2S8hB2XoUb4
